The Elizabethan Lady pattern is a compilation of three of our individual patterns: The Underskirt and Forepart, the Overskirt, and the Bodice plus one sleeve with variations and two hats, for less than two thirds the price of buying three patterns individually. With this "core wardrobe" you can create  styles suitable for middle to upperclass women from the 1570s - 1590s.
For more style variations, the patterns can can be combined with our Elizabethan Lady's Sleeves, Doublet, Elizabethan Comfort, and Accessories patterns.
The 110 page instruction manual includes historical notes, extensive fitting and sewing instructions, and design tips.
This pattern is printed on bond paper. Sizes 2-30 are included in each package.
The Garments
The Underskirt and Forepart consists of the Forepart, a decorative panel which was worn under an open fronted skirt or gown and an underskirt or petticoat. The Forepart can be sewn directly to the Underskirt, or made to be detachable so that several versions can use the same underskirt.
The package includes separate pattern pieces for bust cup sizes A/B, C, D, and DD.
The Sleeve is a narrow, two part sleeve with optional front or back openings.
The Hat is a small "flat cap" which sits on the top of the head. Pattern pieces for a flat "beret" crown and or a gathered crown are included. Such caps were often worn over, and pinned to, an undercap called a coif or biggin.
